Old King's Highway (Route 6A Scenic Road)

The road was believed to be first created by Native Americans as a trade route. Today it runs 62 miles along the northern coast of Cape Cod, designated a National Scenic Byway in 2021 and the backbone of one of the country's most significant historic districts. Drive it from Bourne to Orleans — or push on to Provincetown — and you're tracing a path people have been taking for a very long time.
