Good forFamilies
Cason Callaway called it his most productive 7½ acres — and he was right to be proud. Started in 1960 and named for him after his death in 1961, the demonstration garden grew more than 400 varieties of fruits and vegetables and served for years as the filming location for the PBS series *The Victory Garden*. The Home Demonstration Garden earned a National Landscape Award from Barbara Bush in 1990. It closed permanently in October 2015.
