Museo de Arte de Mayagüez

The Museo de Arte — MUSA — lives on the campus of the Universidad de Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. It opened in February 2016, though the desire for a campus museum dates to the 1960s. Today it holds collections spanning local, Caribbean, and Latin American artists, with particular depth in works by Mayagüez artist Marcos Irizarry and botanist Agustín Stahl, alongside an archaeological collection from indigenous cultures of Puerto Rico.
