Good forOutdoor lovers
The name comes from river otters — there are no sea otters in Acadia. What the cliffs deliver is something else entirely: one of the few true sea cliffs in the United States, known to climbers around the world for its variety of routes and easy access from the Park Loop Road. Before any of that, the site served as the Navy's best transatlantic radio receiver during World War I, commissioned in 1917 and later folded into Acadia when the Navy decommissioned it in 1935.
