Paulina Peak

The road to Paulina Peak climbs to a summit that tops the rim of Newberry Volcano — a caldera so large it covers an area the size of Rhode Island, shaped by eruptions over the past 400,000 years. From up here, the view takes in both caldera lakes, the Big Obsidian Flow, and a sweep of the High Cascades. The peak is reachable by road or by a trail along the crater rim. Either way, you're standing on the edge of something that isn't finished yet.
