Andrew Molera State Park

The largest state park on the Big Sur coast, Andrew Molera preserves almost 5,000 acres of largely undeveloped terrain where the Big Sur River meets the ocean. Former owner Frances Molera requested the land be preserved — and it was. The park holds the oldest building in Big Sur, a ranch house museum, and a condor discovery center. Highway 1 puts it 20 miles south of Carmel.
