Good forHistory buffs
The terminal on the Bar Harbor waterfront marks where the M.V. Bluenose — named after a famous Nova Scotia racing schooner — ran to Yarmouth from around 1960 until 1997. Both ship and facility were built in 1955, on the demolished site of the Stotesbury Estate "Wingwood." Today, Bay Ferries' The Cat still works that same international crossing.
