Pine Mountain Hiking Trail Trailhead (WKRR Trailhead)

The trailhead sits at the edge of F.D. Roosevelt State Park, where Pine Mountain rises south of Warm Springs — the same country Roosevelt returned to for two decades, drawn by springs that ran warm enough to ease what doctors called polio. He died a couple of miles from here in 1945. The Pine Mountain Trail starts at this access point and runs point-to-point through quiet woods, streams, waterfalls, and rock outcroppings.
