Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum (Castle Warden)

Built in 1887 as a private mansion in the Moorish Revival style, Castle Warden later became a hotel before Ripley's associates purchased it shortly after his death in 1949 and opened the first permanent Odditorium in 1950. Employees say the building is haunted. That reputation fits. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the continental United States — a city that has always collected strange history. Ripley's just made it official.
