Kalaloch Tide Pools

The tide pools at Kalaloch's Beach 4 are among the most popular tidepooling spots in Olympic National Park. What you find depends entirely on timing — not all low tides expose the same rocks, and the best conditions come during a minus tide, when the water drops below normal and the flat, creviced reef reveals sea stars, anemones, and the rest of the intertidal community clinging to the stone. Check the tide chart before you go. The pools don't wait.
