Georgia Warm Springs Foundation Patients' Cottages (Historic)

The springs at Warm Springs flow at nearly 90 degrees Fahrenheit — warm enough that Roosevelt first came here in 1924 seeking relief from polio, and warm enough that a rehabilitation institute grew up around that fact. The patients' cottages on that campus are what remains of the medical life built around those pools: the place where people came to get better, and sometimes did.
